ETC at Pitt-Titusville to Host Ribbon Cutting and Campaign Celebration at Newly Renovated Student Union
The public is invited to tour the newly renovated student union at the Education & Training Center at Pitt-Titusville during a ribbon cutting and campaign celebration from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2025.
The event will include a ribbon cutting and self-guided tours of the newly renovated J. Curtis McKinney II Student Union, which houses the Manufacturing Assistance Center, makerspace, digital arts studio, art gallery spaces, renovated classrooms, and collaborative areas designed to foster innovation and learning.
Education & Training Center at Pitt-Titusville Awarded $199,451 State Grant to Provide Machining, CNC Training to Residents
The Education & Training Center at Pitt-Titusville received a $199,000 state grant to offer pre-apprenticeship programs in basic machining and CNC operations to residents in the region.
The two-year grant is funded in part by the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development’s Manufacturing Training to Career Grant program.
The Manufacturing Assistance Center at ETC at Pitt-Titusville plans to offer its state-approved, 188-hour pre-apprenticeship program to both high school students and nontraditional learners looking to upskill for the regional workforce. The program, which will begin January 2025 and extend to December 2026, will offer significant flexibility through both full-time, part-time, day and evening options.
THE EDUCATION & TRAINING CENTER’S STUDENT UNION RENOVATION PROJECT ON TARGET FOR SPRING 2025 COMPLETION
Progress continues on the Student Union renovation project at The Education & Training Center at Pitt-Titusville and once completed will enable the expansion of the workforce programs at the campus. ETC’s project is still on target for spring 2025 completion.
